I found relatives of mine from Buncombe County that served in the 25th Regiment N.C. Troops, Company I. Believed they were organized at Hominey Baptist Church on July 22, 1861. There are two books that may be of help to you. "North Carolina Troops, 1861-1865: A Roster" and another John W. Moore's "Roster of North Carolina Troops in the War Between the States". You should be able to locate these in the library, if you are from NC. If you are not from North Carolina, write to the Department of Cultural Resources, Division of Archives and History, Archives and Record Section, 109 E. Jones Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27611.

Who are you looking for? I have some names but not all who served in this company.

Good luck.
