Sketches of Rabun County History, 1819-1848, Andrew Jackson Ritchey, 1948

There was a leading citizen, a man of considerable means, who was often a Justice of the Inferior Court, about whom so little is known that it has not been possible to construct a story about him. This man was Bailey Dover. He was not related to the late S. W. Dover. He lived in Clayton and was much interested in young ministers of the Gospel.

Sketches indicates that Bailey Dover owned lot 89 in Clayton, Georgia in 1856.

Bailey Dover, Inferior Court Judge 1833, 1837, 1849 and 1857. Served on the Grand Jury of the 1829 term.
