My husband, William Marion Wood (deceased) had an ancestor named John Wood that lived in Buncombe Co. He is thought to have had seven sons-daughters we are not sure of. Some of these sons are believed to have gone to Muhlenberg and Logan Co. KY. Joseph, Avery, Thomas, Barthalomew, and Moses. The last three are known to eventually have moved to Edgar Co. IL. Joseph died in Sullivan Co. MO. Avery was in Ill, but came back to KY. It is believed that John Wood and his family came to NC.>SC from Pittsylvania Co. VA. It is believed that John Wood the father, never came to KY, but died in NC. Does any of this information sound familiar to you?
Marciel Hart Wood in CA
