I am searching for info on John Sullivan. He was born in NC (don't know where)in the mid-1820s, and he appears on the 1860 Buncombe (Asheville) census with wife, Louisa, and several children. By 1870, he has moved his family to Oconee County, SC (Walhalla area). I'd like to have a feel for why he left...civil war related?, etc. I'd also like to know anything about his parents or wife (she may have been called "Lou"). I am descended through their son, Thomas Mitchell.
