Looking for descendents of John and Dolly Sumner to exchange descendency information with. They were originally from Buncombe County, NC and moved to Muhlenberg County, KY by about 1805 or so. They had up to 11 children, including Jesse(1791-1852) who married Elizabeth Bell; William Riley(c.1795-1860) who married Margaret Zimmerman; Richard(c.1795-c.1834) who married Rhoda Biggerstaff; Anne(c.1797-c.1838)who married Matthias Zimmerman; Thomas(1798-1881) who married Anna Wood; Elizabeth(1809-1892) who married John Hammet; and David (c.1802-1871) to married Nancy Miller.
John Sumner died 20 Aug 1840 and his wife Dolly died 28 Feb 1852. Both are buried at Hammet Cemetery in Chillicothe, Peoria county, IL. I descend from John and Dolly's son Jesse Sumner and am looking for other "Sumner" cousins. Thank-you!
