From Asheville records: 1910 census lists Mattie J. Balew as head of household, 53 years old, with son William P. Balew and grandson Paul B. Balew, all born NC as were their parents. Also, Emma Clark, age 23, white, servant. 1904 city directory lists Mattie J. Ballew, widow of J.R., h 18 Depot St. with son (?) Wm P. Ballew, engineer. Notify Administrator about this message?
