My great-great grandparents were the late Jesse A. Sumner and the late Elizabeth Rozilla Sorrells Sumner of Buncombe County, North Carolina. The late Jesse A. Sumner was the High Sheriff of Buncombe County, North Carolina. They had eight children. Their daughter the late Pink Ella Sumner Creswell was my great grandmother. Her son the late Wilbur Paul Creswell, Senior was my grandfather of Jefferson County, Tennessee. His youngest child is my mom. She is Emily Sumner Creswell Lancaster. According to the United States Census records completed by the late Jesse A. Sumner both of his parents were from North Carolina. We do not know the names of his parents. Thank you.
