I have an old obituary of an ancestor that died in Buncombe County, near Ashville. It states that the next day he was taken to the "narrow house" accompanied by relatives, friends, and a military company in his honor. Can anyone tell me what is a "narrow house"? This was in quotations also in the obit article. This was in 1824. He was buried at Newton Academy Cemetery in Asheville. Thanks, 'Lee
