I have an old obituary of an ancestor that died in Buncombe County,near Ashville. It states that the next day he was taken to the "narrow house" accompanied by relatives,friends, and a military company in his honor. Can anyone tell me what is a "narrow house"? This was in quotations also in the obit article. This was in 1824. He was buried at Newton Academy Cemetery in Asheville. Thanks, 'Lee
