Beck,
Hopefully you might have some info that would help me. My ggrandmother is Mollie (probably Mary) Sams(Sames). She married Joseph Lee Wright. He was raised in the Flat Creek community of Buncombe county (b 1846). I have found 2 Sams(es) families in the same community with daughters named Mary R. (yes both appear to have the same middle initial). One's father and mother are E. C. Sames and Katy. The other is L.W. and Ailey Sams. I have the 1870 and 1880 census info on them if it would help. Trying to find her is proving very tough.

Thanks for any help you might provide.
