Parents of John C. Robbins, Brunswick Co
Posted by: Charles Robbins Date: October 23, 2000 at 18:32:14

Looking for definate link, other than John's death certificate, to the parents of John C. Robbins. They are listed as Thomas Robins and Mary Penny on his death certificate and on all the census records as head of household, his parents are listed as from NC. On the 1850 census he is shown as a laborer on the farm of Frederick Arnold, grandfather of his second wife, Nancy Jane Arnold. The 1830 census shows only 1 Thomas Robbins in Brunswick County but he was married to Elizabeth Swain. Had been informed that John's parents were Daniel Robbins from SC and Martha Penny. Can't find this information anyplace. John is buried between his 2 wives in the Robbins Cemetery near Mill Creek Baptist Church. Researching Brunswick County from PA is difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
