There is 2 Pait (Pate) Cemeteries in Bladen County, they're both on the right of Center Road, about 1/2 mile or less from Center Road Baptist Church. They are named the Old Pait Cemetery and The New Pait Cemetery.
Here is what I have for a Jesse C. Pate Pait (may not be your Jesse Cameron) born Dec 1824,Bladen County, NC, Occupation: Farmer, married about 1849 in Bladen County, NC Huldah Brisson, born July 5, 1829, daughter of Anthony Brisson and Comfort Hester. Jesse died after 1900. Jesse was the fifth child of David and Feraby Boyt Pate. He was a founding member of Center Road Baptist Church and one of its first deacons. Jesse is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall,with blue eyes and blonde hair in his enlistment papers when he enlisted for the war in New Hanover County at the age of 37, Feb. 3rd, 1862. Discharged Jan. 31, 1863 at Wilmington by reason of "dropsy". 2nd Co. I, 36th Regt., NC troops. I didn't have where he is buried; but, I may try to check it out.
