My husband, Macon Worth, had a great grandfather named James H. Porter, who was a brother to William C, according to the 1850 Bladen County census. James H. Porter married Ann Eliza Squires, sister of Mary E. Squires.

James H. Porter's father was James N. Porter who married Nancy and had six children. The union of Ann Eliza Squires and John H. Porter resulted in the birth of Ada Louise Porter who married William James Keith.

The Keith family had six or seven siblings, Willie Mae
being the youngest - born in 1908. She is still living
at age 97, in Richmond, Va. My husband was her youngest
child.

I am interested in the parentage of James N. Porter.
Also any information about other siblings born to John
H. Porter and Ann Eliza Squires and descendants - besides
Ada Louise.

We are interested in how the Porters and Keiths arrived
in Bladen County.

Carol Worth
