Crowfields on Lake Waccamaw

According to another researcher, George Gibbs had a home on Lake Waccamaw called CROWFIELDS. This would have been in the 1700s. First this was Bladen County, then Hanover County, and now Columbus County, NC.
It is said that John Gibbs, father of George Gibbs, was from the Barbadoes. He at some time migrated to North Carolina.
Is their a book that has more information on these Gibbs?
