Thank you for the map. I appreciate it.

In 1800 Sampson applied for a grant of 262 acres and it was issued in 1806. It was in Bladen County on the North side of Little Bay.

"Beginning at James Cains corner tree a pine on the North side of Little Bay and runs North 59 East 8 chains and 50 links to his other corner at a stake" ...... "Thence North 48 West 35 chains and 50 links to Isaac Davis corner a pine in a pond"

In 1808 Sampson sold the land to Mary Sessions. It is recorded in Book 34, Page 296.

I have looked at this many times because he applied before our Isaac was born and Isaac was only one year old when it was issued. I think there was another Isaac Davis in the area at that time.
