Archibald Dove of Bladen County
Posted by: R. Keith Davis (ID *****4671) Date: September 11, 2003 at 07:33:30

Does anyone know of Archibald Dove's burial place? He married Mary Ann Shaw abt. 1830 and died abt 1880. His photo, along with photos of two of his sons, William James and Mitchell Shaw resurfaced as Columbus County camp 794 Sons of Confederate Veterans was hosting a service marker dedication ceremony for two veterans, Mitchell Shaw Dove and Isaac A. Davis.

Many Shaws are buried at Rising Cemetery, off 242 near White's Crossroads and there are wooden markers there. William James Dove and James I. Dove, Archibald's sons are buried there also.

Any help identifying whose wooden markers are there (if any are Archibald and Mary Ann) would be greatly appreciated.
