Minister's Journals, Minute, Bibles, etc,,,

I am on a quest for any written material left behind by several notable Baptist ministers of North Carolina, hoping to find therein some record of my families marriages that I can't find anywhere else. Sampson County and surrounding areas.

The odd thing is that these minister's families were all related in some way, many by marriage.

The minsters in question are:

Rev. Edward Brown(e) - associated with Coharie Rowan Baptist, and Brown's Chapel
Rev. Fleet Cooper, Jr. - pastored Coharie Rowan for 50 years
Rev. William Cooper - pastored Cape Fear Baptist
Rev. William Thames - pastored Cape Fear Baptist

Rev. Brown was grandfather to two Stevens/Stephens girls who married Cooper men, Zilpha and Drusilla.

Rev. Fleet Cooper, Jr's. son Daniel was married to Zilpha Stevens/Stephens There is a strong possibility that Druslla Stevens/Stephens was married to Jonathan Cooper, Rev. Fleet Cooper, Jr's nephew. Rev. William Cooper was an uncle to Daniel and Jonathan.

Just hoping that somewhere some church record or family Bible will positively prove who Drusilla's husband was. They would have married circa 1807-1810. There is no public record of her marriage.

Best Regards,
