Alexander King of Bladen CO. NC
Posted by: Robert Chancey Date: October 17, 2001 at 18:46:09

On January 23, 1789 Alexander King and Dempsey Chancey witnessed a deed from James Burney, planter, to William Wilkison.

Dempsey married in Bladen County to 'Elizabeth'.

Dempsey named his first male child Alexander, and another King Soloman.

It looks like Elizabeth may have been a King.

Any info along these lines or family information for Alexander King ca. 1789 Bladen County would be appreciated.

Elizabeth survived Dempsey in Alabama, and the 1850 census says she was born in Virginia.

Any body having info for this King family, and if perhaps they came to Bladen County from Virginia would also be helpfull.
