Charles, I called my uncle and aunt and have some information and the name of someone to contact about the Porters. My grandfather's sister Mary Bush married a Porter and that is our connection to them. My mom and two uncles have lots of Porter cousins from Bladen County. Some of the seven Porter cousins of my mother and her brothers were much older and many have died. The names were Leslie, PS, Hugh, Al, Troy, Ruby, and Julia. They were from Kelly. My uncle believes Hugh's wife Ruth might be able to help you. Hugh died, but they visited Ruth last year in Elizabethtown, NC and thinks she may be able to fill you in on the Porters. She also has a son who lives in Dublin, NC. My aunt also said the Porters have a big family reunion every year at White Lake, NC during the third week of July. Email me at and I'll give you Ruth's address. Gail
