Hi Tabitha,
Your husband's grandmother must be one of my aunt's, I'm curious as to which one. The only info I have on John Keech is a copy of his will I received from my cousin William Carrowan, son of Hazel Keech and Shelton Carrowan.
I don't have a scanner, and I don't have it on a disk or my hard drive, but when I get time, I will re-type it on microsoft word and email it to you. I can't get your email address from genforum, so if you get it to me, I'll forward you some stuff. There is a wealth of information on the net about John's father and grandfather, Elias and Benjamin, but their last names are sometimes spelled "Keach". I'm reading a book right now that was written in 1691 by Benjamin Keach, I found a reprint on Amazon.com. I also have a ton of interesting info on Dallas Whitford Keech's wife's side of the family. She was Maggie Mae Hopkins Keech. She has a lot of New England Puritan ancestry. One very famous ancestor of hers was Thurston Raynor, he came over on a ship from England called the "Elizabeth" in 1634. Let me know your interests and your email address. Nice hearing from family!!!!
Rob Keech
