Thomas Morris - 1800-40
Posted by: David Grobe Date: January 20, 2002 at 04:06:59

Thomas Morris appears on the Beaufort co censuses from 1800 to 1840, and he is also listed as a soldier from the county in the War of 1812. I suspect he is a member of my Morris family from adjacent Martin co. Thomas Morris and his wife Nancy appear in a 1799 land record in Martin co that involves land just a short distance from the county line. If you have any information about Thomas and/or Nancy, I would appreciate hearing from you.
