State of North Carolina, Avery County, Office of Register of Deeds, Oct. 17, 1912. C.H. Ollis having applied to me for a LICENSE for the marriage of S. Malone PHILLIPS of Ingalls, NC, aged 33 years, color white, the son of J.B. PHILLIPS and Caroline PHILLIPS, the father now dead, the mother living, resident of Bryson City, NC, and Malisie WISEMAN of Ingalls, aged 24 years, color white, daughter of M.S. WISEMAN and Bonnie (?) WISEMAN, the father living, the mother living, resident of Ingalls, NC. J.N. (?) PRITCHARD, Register of Deeds.

I, R.L. WISEMAN, a Justice of the Peace, united in matrimony S. Malone PHILLIPS and Malissie (sic) WISEMAN, the parties licensed above, on the 20th day of Oct. 1912, at the residence of Grant STYLES, in Toe River Township, in said County, according to law. Witnesses: Mrs. R.L. WISEMAN; Rice STYLES; and Grant STYLES, all of Ingalls, NC. R.L. Wiseman, Officiating Officer.
