Searching for information concerning parents &/or siblings of Emerintha Richardson (1830- aft 1920), lived most of her life in the Peak Creek area. Mother of five children named: Ambrose (used his father's last name ,Jones, in adulthood), Amanda, Troy, Jesse, & Lucinda (married John Blevins). Emerintha (spelled various ways in census) had two brothers: James D (or Jimmy D) & Joshua, & one sister named Lena (I have been told that she wrote a song called "The Whiskey Seller"). Father of 4 of Emeritha's children was a man named Daniel Jones. No information on his background but I would greatly appreciate any that might be available. Family story states that Daniel stabbed a man, & thinking that he had killed him, Daniel ran off & spent most of the rest of his life living among a nearby native American tribe (Cherokee?) only to come home occasionally to 'visit' Emerintha. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
