Familysearch shows Tobias Woody b Feb 11, 1805 of Union Georgia.
A marriage record there for Tobias Woody married Luraney LUNSFORD also of Union Georgia.
The 1860 Union Georgia census at Rootsweb lists the family:
Woody, Tobias age 55
Woody, Catharine age 48
Woody, Elizabeth
Woody, Julia
Woody, Mary J
Woody, James K
This census does show Tobias as born in NC. No Ashe censuses at Rootsweb or New River Valley Historical notes lists any Tobias Woody. Hope this helps. You may email me
