Hi Tom,
Thanks for your help...I found some information on the Woodys, but not Tobias Woody/Woodde, b. 1805. I E-mailed Pat, and this is what she had to say about Tobias.........

I can't explain why I can't find him listed with any other Woody families.
He signed his name...Tobias Woodde. So if he had another formal name, he didn't use it.

Thanks to you and Pat for the help...guess we will just keep on looking....
