I'm looking for information about John Campbell, died around 1804, and his son Finley Campbell, who in 1806 witnessed the signing of the deed that formed the Old Scot Cemetery. If one was to get permission to visit the cemetery during the winter (I assume it's on private property) is it possible to find the tombstones and can the tombstones still be read? John Campbell is my 4th great grandfather. His grave is unknown to me. By 1820 Finley appears in the TN census where he presumably died. His widow and children ended up in Lafayette County MS by about 1840.
