I have been researching my family roots for several years and am now focusing on identifying the plantations in Anson County/Wadesboro, NC for my family (Gaddy, Hammond, Teal, Tillman, Sturdivant and/or Simons) surnames in the early 1800’s. I am trying to uncover where my ancestors lived and/or who were the property/land owners. Over the years, I have spoken with family members in my efforts to find this information without success.
