Location of Little River Primitive Baptist Church in Sparta, NC

I am researching possible children of my g-g-grandfather, John Duncan, Jr. of Ashe/Alleghany County, NC - b. c. 1785 moved from Alleghany County to Yancey County, NC between 1850-1860. I have recently seen a posting on another website that lists CYNTHIA DUNCAN m. to DAVID LANDRETH as one of John's daughters. I would love to prove this. The posting lists Religion: LITTLE RIVER PRIMITIVE BAPTIST CHURCH, April 1839 and I think the person must have found a record of church members from back then. I'm not sure where to start looking, but first of all I would like to know if this church is still active and where it is located in the Sparta area. I see a picture of it on the Sparta website. I have e-mailed the person who posted Cynthia's info but not have heard back from them. I will appreciate any info you can share.
