Mattie Lewis and William Walker McDonald

I am looking for info on my ggrandfather William Walker McDonald who married Mattie Lewis from Lincolnton. I understand that they lived in Taylorsville?. William died in 1947 and went to Union Baptist Church.
Would Taylorsville and/or Union Baptist Church happen to be in Alexander County? Any info about this family would be helpful.
