Alexander County King families

I am trying to find info on Lewis King who in the 1860 census appears to be 47 and has a son James King who appears to be 14. Living in Taylorsville TWP. In 1870 I see James King 24 with wife Ellen 25 and son William 2 living in `Ellendale. Then in 1880 I find James 34 with Wife Jane 31 in Dan River Patrick Co VA. Also in that household is William 12 so I think I am on the right track. If Jane's maiden name was Cantrel or Cantrell then I am on the right track. I think James and Jane were my great great grandparents. If so they would have had a son born in 1880 named Jesse Martin King. Any even no matter how small tidbit of info on this King family is greatly appreciated. I am trying to find out where this King family originated and their ancestry and wives maiden names etc or a website that may contain some of that info.
