Thank you for your response. Since my inquiry was posted over a year ago, DNA test results have proven that my Garrisons are not related to the Garrisons of Stony Creek. My Garrisons were farther south in Old Orange County and left about the end of the Revolutionary War.

I am in touch with several of the legitimate descendants of the Garrisons of Stony Creek and will make sure they get your message. The Garrison and Hurdle families are certainly closely intertwined.
