I didn't see your reply for some reason until today!I check the forum every other day or so but just happened to miss it!My James was born in Massachusetts according to a tiny snippet I found about his son in a book about Kentucky tax lists.I have no idea who his father was unfortunately and I'm not sure really where to begin.James was born in 1741 or 1742 in MA.He married first a Ms. Brinket and had 3 daughters. He then married a Margaret Parker and had 4 sons. One of whom, Benjamin Parker Naylor, I'm descended from.James seemed to be a true pioneer. He traveled alot until finally settling in Washington Co, Ohio on a Gift Ridge farm where he died and was buried. There has been a story circulating among this families researchers that James, his 3 or 4 brothers and his father volunteered together in the Rev. War.I've never been able to substantiate it and as far as I know, no one else has either.Do you have a James as a son of your firstJohn?Do you have more information on that first John?
