I am seeking contact with anyone who might be researching an Isaac Naylor (also spelled "Naller" in some early transcriptions) of Calvert County, Maryland in the 18th century. Prior to 1743, he had married Margaret Edmonds, daughter of the late William Edmonds and his wife Anne (who, as a widow, had remarried to one Stephen Dickenson in Calvert County). Margaret (Edmonds) Naller/Naylor was mentioned in the estate administration of her paternal grandather, Thomas Edmonds, in Calvert in 1743. See the record below. Abstracts of the administration accounts of the Prerogative Court of Maryland, by V. L. Skinner, Vol. 4, p. 159 Thomas Edmonds [Liber] 20.16 [folio] A CA[lvert] pounds 372.12.1 pounds 361.7.9 Sept 26, 1743 Payments to: Joseph Lewis, John Edmonds, Samuel Robinson, John Wilkinson, Edward Wood, Mary Parker, John Wade, William Deaver, Thomas Crompton, George Denton, John Hance, William Reeves, Black Jack, Adderton Skinner, Gabriel Parker, William Trover (merchant in London), Isaac Naller who married Margaret Edmonds (granddaughter), widow (unnamed, 1/3) Payments to: (granddaughters, in equal amounts): Masey Edmonds, Catherine Edmonds, Jane Edmonds wife of James Bowen, Mary Edmonds wife of Thomas Aterbury Administratrix: Mary Edmonds From the "married by" date and the likely age of Margaret Edmonds, I am guessing that this Isaac was born between about 1710 and 1722. He might have been born there in Maryland or might have been an immigrant from Great Britain??? I am guessing that Isaac and Margaret might have had children from about 1743 (or somewhat before) to about 1760. I do not know if they stayed in Calvert County or if they might have migrated West to Prince George's County, Frederick County, or elsewhere in Maryland. If anyone is researching this Isaac and Margaret, please contact me directly at duaneaboggs@hotmail.com Notify Administrator about this message?
