George Nailor
All I have on my George NAILOR is a signature on a marriage consent for my 3rd great-grandmother, America, to marry at about the age of 13.She was born about 1805 in KY (or VA?).She married Fleming GARRETT of Fayette Co., KY on 26 October 1818 in Clark Co., KY.Jordan/Jourdan NAILOR was a bondsman. He lived nearby the Garrett family in Fayette Co.
I have ruled out the George NAYLOR who settled in Montgomery Co. (in what is now Bath Co.) as father of America. He died and left a will (I don't have the date handy) before the marriage of my America NAILOR and Fleming GARRETT.Fleming and America did, however, move to near the Bath, Montgomery Co. border.
