Hi Martin

Since posting my original message I have discovered further information. I have found that the surname was spelt Navin instead of Naven. Also that my Navin's originated from Mayo, like yours.

In my previous message I mentioned a Sarah Navin, now I know her father's name which is Joseph. Sarah was born around the early 1880's though not on the 1881 census. Her father was still living at home. Joseph had the siblings of Eliza, Kate, Ellen and I believe a John also but he was married by 1881. Joseph also named some of his other children, Eliza, Kate and Ellen.

Joseph's parents were James and Catherine Navin, both born in County Mayo.

Do you have any connection with the above?
