I'm french, the last boy of a very old family in france.
I begin to study the archives of my family and in thr same time i'm looking for some members who start from france to USA in the 18th century.
I've been surprised to found o lot of persons whith this family name.
The origin of my branch is italian from genova in te 15th century there where ships owners in teh port of genova and went to the south of francia at the begenning of the 16th century.
There is a small village in the "TARN" department named NAVES near TULLE.
in my family we keep armorials representing
an single helmett (for the "baron" title)
over 2 stars and a ship.
i did not know tat there were some spanish people with the same name
