Hi Carol,

My understanding is that the coat of arms particular to your family depends on where in Spain they are from. Different towns have different coats of arms. Also, it depends on whether or not your ancestor was actually awarded a coat of arms by the authority in charge at the time. I find the first requirement difficult to establish unless you know exactly where your male ancestor came from and the last requirement kind of nitpicky so I decided to call the one that looks good to me as my Navarro coat of arms.
