First time on this interesting web site. Years ago, I was in Costa Rica vacationing. I came upon a genealogy research center. Long story short. According to records they had of the first ship passengers to America from Spain with Navarro surnames were Jewish immigrants at the time when Queen Isabel issued the edict to expel Jews from Spain. Over the years I've often encountered similar connections on the internet. I don't have any personal story or family connection to Hebrew culture, but it's very possible that sometime ago, Navarro, was a Jewish last name. There was a very well known Rabbi Navarro who offered the Queen a substantial amount of money to protect their community from persecution. Interesting material. I wonder if anybody else has come across something similar. Thanks.
