I live in Navarrete, a little village where your surname comes from. Navarrate is in La Rioja, Spain. The first man who got your surname was Juan de Navarrete, who was born in this village.

Coat of Arms:

if you can read in Spanish, you can visit

I cannot help you about the family Navarrete because Juan de Navarrete got his surname when he went to the war against arabians, in 1492 more or less. There is a lot of people which their surname is Navarrete in the south of Spain.
