Howdy,
I live in Austin, TX. My father's name is Gilbert Navarrete. I was born in San Antonio, TX; he was born in Houston, TX. He never knew his father but thought he was a mechanic from Mexico. ?
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I purchased "navarrete.org." I'm going to build a nice family site where friends and family can share photographs and information about themselves. Also, some companies are in the business of buying surnames and getting people to pay for new email addresses as firstname@lastname.com[.org, .net]. http://brown.org (for example) In the future, I'd like to provide those of you with the Navarrete surname with an email of firstname@navarrete.org for free. I mean, who wants to pay for a name that's rightfully yours right? Anyway, all this is coming out of my pocket so I'll see how much space I can afford until I have to stop offering that to new people.
I'd also like to offer personal family pages like urias.navarrete.org, or alex.navarrete.org. I could also link to this Navarrete Genealogy forum. I'm going to have a pronunciation guide to pronounce "Navarrete." There are lots of possibilities for this site.
