I'm just messing around but the name, Mose Navarre seems so unusual that I thought there might be a connection between your man and a Moses Navarre that married my great grandmother, Julia (DeShanaway) Teal on 6 September, 1856 in Maumee, Ohio. (Lots of Navarres there who came down from Frenchtown, Monroe and Raisin River, MI. They had a son, Odin Navarre born 11 August 1857. I don't know what happened to Moses.
