My g-grandfather is William Friedrich Naumann, Sr. of Seguin, Texas. He was born May 23, 1868 to Friedrich Wilhelm Naumann & Louise Krug Naumann. His father, Friedrich, came from Anhalkater, Germany at the age of 18. He was born on Dec. 13, 1828 came on the ship "Neptune". He was a government surveyor, gold prospector and returned to Germany at the age of 39 to marry Louise. I have not yet located any other family information about Friedrich Wilhelm Naumann as to parents or brothers/sisters. I do know he was land manager for the Swiss Colony in Seguin and was given 400 acres for his sevices. I would appreciate any information you may have regarding the Naumann family in Germany.

Thanks, Jim
