When did Ernest Nauman imigrate from Saxony? And was Ernest his first name or "Ruffname", i.e. the name Germans in the 1800's actually used--often their middle name. I am related to some Ernest Nauman's (both baptized Ernest and Ruffname of Ernest) who imigrated from Saxony around the time of the 1848 revolutions in Germany.
