My grandfather was Peter Nauman, who emigrated from Austria-Hungary in the late 1800's/early 1900's. Family lore has it that he entered the U.S. through New York, and that his brother settled in NY. Lore also says that he was born in a village near the German border. He spoke German. Does anyone in New York have any info on my great-uncle and his descendants? Thanks.
