NAUGLE / NAUGLER in Nova Scotia, Canada

The names NAUGLE and NAUGLER are very common in Nova Scotia, especially around Lunenburg County on the South Shore, as well as the capital city area of Halifax. There are 99 NAUGLE listings and 227 NAUGLER's in Canada's on-line phone book - www.canad411.com -

There are almost no other such names anywhere in Canada. Most of these folks came from the USA starting after 1749 when Halifax was founded by the British. More came in the 1750's and then as Loyalists during/after the American Revolution.

Anyone interested in knowing more about Nova Scotia family connections can tap into - www.nsonline.com/forums/forum1.cgi - which is a very active Q and A posting site.
