My great grandmother was Ellen Burke of County Galway Ireland. She was born Apr 1853. I thought her parents were John Burke & Bridget Mahon but I've recently been told by a cousin her parents were John Burke & Ellen Naughton - or Elenora, or Honora Naughton. NAUGHTON is the last name of her mother as listed on the death certficate. Does anyone have any info on this family? Other known siblings of my Ellen were Stephen Burke(stayed in Galway and married Mary Connolly, and Julia Burke who went to upper New York State and married Patrick Foley. My Ellen Burke married James Carney of County Mayo and came to the states and settled in Brooklyn, NY
