You might try http://genforum.genealogy.com/adoption/ and http://directory.google.com/Top/Home/Family/Adoption/Search_and_Reunion/Registries/ You might also scan the posts on the adoption forum. They will sadden you; your chances of finding him are small. While I'm giving advice, You shouldn't give out your age on a public forum. You needn't explain why your mother gave him up or how old she was. If someone writes, says he is David, is dying to meet you but needs bus fare, ignore him. If someone writes, says he is David and wants you to meet him at a rest stop on the interstate outside of town, tell the police. 99.99% of the people who post and respond to posts here are honest and generous. That leaves some crooks. I surf GenForum the way normal people do crosswords; sometimes I read a hundred posts in a week. Three to five percent are like yours, parents or children seeking reunion. Two people I've traded e-mail or posts with have been approached by Nigerians who were branching out from the oil ministry scam. They said they knew the person, he was in Europe and he needed air fare. Notify Administrator about this message?
