My grandmother's brother was Patrick Naughton she, Patrick and other siblings came to Philadelphia from Ireland,in 1883. Patrick moved on to Chicago sometimne after 1883. He married abt. 1897, probably in Chicago, His wife's name was Mary J. [ last name unk.] He had sons Joseph and James and six daughters. Joseph was a Chicago Police officer. in 1920 the family lived at 4947 Washington Park Ct. in Chicago. Perhaps there is some connection with your John Naughton. According to my grandmother's death certificate her father's name was Thomas Naughton.
