Hi Rex, it is an unusual name.
My George Charter Nattress was born 20th June 1839, Coxhoe, Durham.
He married Elizabeth Adamson 29th June 1862. Trimdon. Durham.
They had William, 1865, Mary E 1864, Robert 1866, my connection or should i say my husbands connection Elizabeth Ann b. 1868. All born Trimdon.
Then George born 1870. This could be your George!
I do not think he knew much of his father as it seems he died before 1871. His wife is a widow on the 1871 census.
But i have not been able to find a record of his death up to now.
