Anyone see a familiar name from those listed below? My main line of
research is the TODD surname, but any other information regarding any of
the following would be greatly appreciated.
Joseph NATTRESS: b1812 Helmington Row, Durham - d1876 Byers Green,
Durham. Married Ann SCORER: b1815 Newfield, Durham - d1897 Byers
Green, Durham.
Their children were Mary b1837 Todhills, Durham (married John SCURR);
Rebecca b1839 Todhills, Durham (married John Colling CLARKE); Thomas
b1841 Todhills, Durham - d1884 (married Jane TODD); Jane b1844 Todhills,
Durham - d1880 Byers Green, Durham; Hannah b1849 Todhills, Durham
(married Thomas MILLER); Ann b1851 Todhills, Durham (married Hackworth
SNOWBALL).
The children of the above Thomas NATTRESS and Jane TODD were Walter
Charles b1878 Byers Green, Durham; Joseph C b1897 Byers Green,
Durham; Mary N b1881 Byers Green, Durham.
The NATTRESS family had the farm at Todhills, half way between Newfield
and Byers Green (the farm buildings are still there).
