Help! Where are the Nattresses?

I am hoping that someone on this forum can push me in the right direction! I have searched the 1901 census and other sites without any joy. My mother, Kathleen Nattrass, was born in January, 1909 in the North of England (Durham, Northumberland etc). Her parents were George and Alice Nattrass who I imagine were married "about" 1889-90. They had many children :Leonora, Annie, Edith, John(who went to the US), Joe who died in a mining accident, I have found a J.Nattrass on the Mining Disasters site), Stanley (died aged 2), another Stanley, Alice, Norman, Mona, Nelly and Kathleen. There was one other whose name I don't know, but they sure were busy in those days! My grandfather died aged 41, about 1912, I think. A number of the children MUST have been born, and on the Census in 1901 with their parents. But I cannot locate a family such as this after much searching, and downloading lists of all the Nattrass, Nattress, Natrass names and any other variation I could think of.
Does anyone have any further clues? Any help gratefully accepted!!!!!! regards Ron
